"In the spring of 1995 I dropped a class at San Francisco Art Institute and got a check back for $800 (which I was definitely not expecting). I bought a fisheye lens for my Nikon and started shooting skateboard pictures (or trying). That summer I was asked to go on tour with Think Skateboards to help film for a video they were making titled Damaged: six weeks around the US in a Dodge van with 10 sweaty dudes. It was my first official skate tour. These photos were shot between late July and early September of that year. When I got back school had already started so I just said fuck it.
