Started in Manchester in 1978, The Secret Public is a quintessential document of the British Punk aesthetic: Sterling and Savages images appeared as flyers and posters for groups like the Buzzcocks, Joy Division, Magazine, as well as Factory Records. The fanzine was published by New Hormones, who had previously only released the iconic Buzzcocks 7" "Spiral Scratch." The Secret Public was distributed by Rough Trade Records
